MCAS Beaufort Air Show at the Marine Corps Air Station

The popular MCAS Beaufort Air Show at The Marine Corps Air Station in Beaufort is scheduled for the weekend of April 11 - April 12, 2015. Gates plan to open at 9:00am on Saturday and Sunday and is scheduled to close at 5:30pm on each day.  Its expected to be close to over 100,000 people in attendance for the MCAS Beaufort Air Show.  The airshow will  demonstrate Naval aviation  most are excited to see the Blue Angels in Beaufort again.

The highest speed flown during an air show is 700 mph and the lowest speed is 120 mph

The Blue Angels have flown over 10 different aircrafts in the team’s 65 year history. There is a  total of 16 officers who voluntarily serve with the Blue Angels.

The Blue Angels team was formed in 1946, which makes the team  the second oldest formal flying aerobatic team in the world, after the French Patrouille de France which was formed in 1931.

The Blue Angels' mission is to showcase the pride and professionalism of the United States Navy and Marine Corps by inspiring a culture of excellence  and service to country through flight demonstrations and community outreach.
